Abstract
This research aims to 1) analyze whether there are relationships among financial performances, corporations characteristics and macro economics situation as factors that impact on cash dividend payment, 2) know what the most dominant influencing cash dividend payment policy that can help potential investors to invest in stock markets. The finding in manufacturing companies, which share cash dividend annually from the year 2003 to 2007, show that cash ratio, liabilities to third parties (DER) and corporations' ages as variables that impact on cash dividend, whereas firm size, inflation rate and exchange rate do not impact on cash dividend. However. those six variables simultaneously have significant influences to cash dividend. In additional, corporation's performance is the more dominant factor influencing the proportion of cash dividend distribution that corporations' characteristics and macroeconomic factors. It is suggests that financial performances it determined by the proportion of cash dividend distribution and corporations' management. Hopefully, manufacturing companies would share higher dividend to the stockholder so that stocks' credibility can be maintained. It should be clearly communicated to stockholders wherever the company have to share a lower dividend because of the higher retained earning.
