Abstract

This research aims to analyze the differences between corporate financial performance before and after acquisition in period 2013-2018. Formulation of the problem is first how differences corporate financial performance before acquisition in Indonesia stock exchange; secondly how differences corporate financial performance after acquisition in Indonesia stock exchange; thirdly, how differences corporate financial performance before acquisition, after acquisition and the time on acquisition Indonesia stock exchange. This research use notification of acquisition in KPPU as the population and sample. The variables used are corporate financial performance. The method of analysis used in this research is differences test. The result of this research prove that is no differences corporate financial performance before and after acquisition. This proves that acquisition is not an appropriate strategy to improve the financial performance corporations. To be successful acquisition, the acquirer should perform various preparations such as, seeing the condition of the target company in terms of management and financial.
