Abstract

The purpose of this research were to: 1) analyze the differences in income of farmers before and after rubber prices down, 2) calculated the income contribution rubber farming and other businesses both farming non rubber or non farming on total income, 3) reviewing farmers efforts to increase income from non rubber, 4) analyze levels of the welfare of farmers from the standards of the necessities life worth (KHL) before and after the price of rubber. This research had been conducted in Tanjung Tambak Baru Village Tanjung Batu District Ogan Ilir Regency. These cities are purposive. The data retrieval was conducted in Desember 2016 until July 2017. The method used in this research is a survey method. The sampling technique is done by method simple random sampling. The research showed average Income the average farmer rubber before the prices of rubber in his real value of Rp57.901.432,62 per year, equivalent to 73,43 percent while farmers income band after the price of rubber down in his real value of Rp20.950.662,44 per year, equivalent to 26,57 percent in the space of Rp36.950.770, 18 per year, equivalent to 46,86 percent, where farmers income before the prices of rubber or higher than after the price of rubber. Contributions income activity of rubber in 2011 and 2016 by 80,52 percent and 60,96 percent. Contributions income in the other in 2011 on revenue of the farmer's family rubber of 19,47 percent, bread and butter wouldn't have a significant effect on revenue of the family. The contribution income in the other in the year 2016 against income a farmer's family rubber of 39,04 percent, so that the livelihoods of other effect on revenue of farmers. Efforts rubber farmers to increase income by by doing activities for the activity such as trade, the shopkeeper, the workshop, tailors and drivers. They conduct farming activities after finishing activities rubber farming. Farmers rubber in the year 2011 can be said to be prosperous, because income of families that earned farmers greater than the Needs Life Decent every month with excess by Rp1.021.718,84 per family. As in 2016 the average levels of farmers are not prosperous, because income of families that earned farmers less than The need for Life Decent every month is experiencing shortages of Rp2.446.088,48 per family. However, income households can still meet the needs of their lives, even though it wasn't prosperous.
