Abstract
This research purposed to know the effect of combination of organic fertilizer and N, P, and K fertilizer in low doses on the growth and yield of peanut (Arachis hypogea L.) and the growth of weeds. This research was conducted from November 2016 until April 2017 at the Experimental Station of Agriculture Faculty Sriwijaya University Indralaya Ogan Ilir South Sumatera. The design of the research was a randomized block design with 8 treatments and 3 replications, the treatments consisted of chicken manure fertilizer + 25% of N, P, and K (P1), cow manure fertilizer + 25% of N, P, and K (P2), leucaena compost + 25% of N, P, and K fertilizer (P3), gliricidia compost + 25% of N, P and K fertilizer (P4), chicken manure fertilizer + 50% of N, P, and K (P5), cow manure fertilizer + 50% of N, P, and K (P6), leucaena compost + 50% of N, P, and K fertilizer (P7) and gliricidia compost + 50% of N, P and K fertilizer (P8.). The results showed that chicken manure fertilizer + 50% of N, P, K fertilizer (P5) had better yield than other treatments. Those were shown by fresh pods weight (980,67 g) and dried pods weight per plot (895,67 g). The dominant weeds before treatment were Paspalum conjugatum (SDR 21,68 %), Borreria alata (SDR 15,04 %), and Panicum maximum (SDR 13,89 %), while dominant weeds after fertilizer treatments were Spigelia anthelmia (SDR 58,31%) on the treatment of cow manure fertilizer + 50% of N, P, and K (P6), then Croton hirtus (SDR 40,27%) on the treatment of chicken manure fertilizer + 25% of N, P, and K (P1), and Calystegia sepium (SDR 38,14%) on the treatment cow manure fertilizer + 25% of N, P, and K (P2).
