Abstract
The objectives of this research were to analyze the application of drip Irrigation and to determine the effect of crop water requirement and growing media on yield of pakcoy (Brassica rapa L.). The research was conducted from October to November 2016 at Faculty of Agriculture Greenhouse, Sriwijaya University. The method used in this research was Factorial Randomized Block Design Method using two factors which consisted crop water requirement (A) and growing media (B) with three repetitions. The crop water requirement had Three levels, A1: 90%, A2: 100% and A3: 110% of the crop water needs. The growing media had four levels, B1: compound consisted of ultisol type soil, charcoal husk; B2: ultisol type soil, charcoal husk, cocopeat; B3: ultisol type soil, empty bunch, goat manure; B4: ultisol type soil, charcoal husk, fern fertilizer. The parameters observed were physical properties of growing media, temperature and relative humidity and plant growth. The research result showed the best treatment was A3B4 (110 % of the crop water needs with growing media compound of ultisol soil, chorcoal husk and fern fertilizer) based on the growth and yield of pakcoy (Brassica rapa L.) with 12 strand of leaves and 104.67 grams wet pakcoy plant stover.
