Abstract
Aloe vera crop has now become one of the agricultural commodities that have a tremendous opportunity to be developed in Indonesia. The research aims to determine the effect of various doses of bio organic fertilizer oil palm empty fruit bunches on the growth of aloe vera crop. This research was conducted from March to July 2015 at research station of Agronomy Department, Agriculture Faculty, Sriwijaya University, Indralaya, Ogan Ilir, South Sumatera. This method used was a Randomized Blok Design (RBD) consisted of 7 treatments and repeated 4 times, so that obtained 28 experimental units. Each experimental unit consists of 3 plants, so there 84 experimental units. The treatment various doses bio organic fertilizer oil palm empty fruit bunches : P0 (control), P1 = 25 gram, P2 = 50 gram, P3 = 75 gram, P4 = 100 gram, P5 = 125 gram, P6 = 150 gram. These results indicate that bio organic fertilizer oil palm empty fruit bunches (P6) at a dose of 150 gram (equivalent to 30 tons/ha) is the best treatment to improve the growth of the aloe vera crop.
