Abstract

Lampung Bay Waters have the potential of marine resource, one of the marine biological resources is seaweed. Turbinaria sp. including types of seaweed that have not been cultivate. Limited information related to research both cultivation and the benefit of the due to use of this type of seaweed. The purpose on this research is to determine the daily growth (DGR) and absolute growth (AGR) of Turbinaria sp and analyze the quality of water for the growth of Turbinaria sp. This research was conducted for 42 days using the long line method and initial weight of 50 grams. The data collected in this study are daily growth (DGR), absolute growth (AGR) and water quality parameters. The results for the 42 days study showed daily growth (DGR) of 1.15% per day, absolute growth (AGR) of 31 grams and water parameters at the study site in addition to the current velocity is still relatively good for the growth of Turbinaria sp.
