Abstract
Direct Local election, the first times had been done in 2005, is the explanation from Article 18 Indonesian Constitution 1945 into the Law Number 32 of 2004 about Local Governance, Article 56 Paragrpah 1. But the fact, the democratic elections experience to multi-interpretative, that are, the local elections can be achieve through legislative (DPRD) and directly by people. Local elections, hitherto, have not yet achieved the 'das sollen' form. Thus plenty of group return to the elections democratic system by legislative. They have state that the local elections by citizens need to much money (APBN) and full of money politic. Many critics, unfortunately, less solutions to make our local election better and to develop Indonesian democratic system. As we know, the main problem is not how to back to the Orde Baru's democratic system, but how to build our democratic system to be more aspirative to the highest sovereignty. The problems which appear, at the last time, are education to our citizens generally as the state that happening proccess to the highest democracy -democracy from people, by people, and for people. Thus, the solution to the local election problems are politic education to local cojnmunities so they can understand how does the vote so important to choose the leader rightly. As a result, direct local elections require, such as, a democratic education for the local community.
