Abstract

Toboali waters are location where there are many human activities, both mining and shipping activities. The impact of these activities are high content of TSM (Total Suspended Matter) which can increase turbidity in the waters that may affect the quality of these waters. The purpose of this research was to analyze the distribution pattern and concentration of TSM, to validate the data between location TSM condition and Landsat 8 imagery data, and maping TSM distribution pattern in 2016 based on seasons in part of west coast of Toboali, South Bangka Regency. The research was conducted in November 2016 in the Western waters of Toboali. The research method used remote sensing by using Landsat 8 image. The results showed that the distribution and concentration of TSM obtained ranged from 100-300 mg / l. Correlation of image data and field data showed by determination coefficient value (R2) of 0,6341 by using regression equation polynomial orde 3 model with the equation of y = 0,0974(i1)3-15,327(i1)2+789,3(i1)-13.146. Furthermore, the highest concentration of TSM based on 4 seasons occured in transitional season II with an average TSM concentration of 269,554 mg / l.
