Abstract

Tending and maintaining bridges are important in order to keep the components of the bridge stable. One way to maintain this stability is by conducting regular bridge inspections. There are several systems created to facilitate the inspection of bridges. In this research, the system used is the Bridge Management System (BMS) program and the application of Visual Bridge Inspection (INVI - J). The purpose of this research is to compare the results of the Bridge Management System (BMS) with the recently released application by the Research and Development Agency for Center Roads and Bridges of the Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (Balitbang Pusjatan KemenPRPR) in 2015, Bridge Visual Inspection (INVI - J). The bridges reviewed in this research were Keramasan A Water Bridge and Keramasan Baru Water Bridge located on Meyjen Yusuf Singadekane Street, Palembang. This research was conducted by inspecting the bridge as a whole, both on buildings over the bridges, lower buildings, as well as on the rivers and soil embankments. The results of the inspection are then processed on the two systems used. The output of the two systems is in the form of Condition Value (NK) with a range of numbers 0 - 5. The results of data processing in the Bridge Management System (BMS) program for Keramasan A Water Bridge obtained an NK of 2, while Keramasan Baru Water Bridge obtained an NK of 1. In the application of Visual Bridge Inspection (INVI-J), the output for Keramasan A Water Bridge obtained an NK of 3, as well as the Keramasan Baru Water Bridge obtained an NK of 3.
