Abstract

Alga tertentu mempunyai peran menurunkan kualitas perairan apabila jumlahnya berlebih (blooming). Oleh karena itu, potensi timbulnya dampak perlu dilakukan pencegahan serta ditanggulangi. Salah satu teknologi pengolahan air limbah yang dianggap ideal dan dapat di aplikasikan yaitu menggunakan teknologi penggabungan Anaerobic Baffled Reactor (ABR) dan Constructed Wetland (CW). Efisiensi "Algae removal “ menggunakan Anaerobic Baffled Reactor (ABR) dan Constructed Wetland (CW) dapat dilihat dari penurunan kadar klorofil alga, jumlah sel alga, pH, suhu, dan turbiditas. Penelitian ini telah dilaksanakan pada bulan April sampai dengan Mei 2019. Perlakuan dalam penelitian ini ada 4 yaitu ABR-CW1 (media ampas tebu), ABR-CW2 (media sabut kelapa), ABR-CW3 (tanpa media ampas tebu dan sabut kelapa), CW 4 (tanpa ABR dan tanpa media ampas tebu sabut kelapa). Setiap perlakuan tersebut diujikan menggunakan air tambak ikan dengan 2 kali ulangan. Hasil penelitian ini berupa rata-rata kadar klorofil alga dan jumlah sel alga antara sebelum dan setelah perlakuan ada perbedaan yang signifikan. Hasil uji beda antar perlakuan berpengaruh tidak nyata terhadap variabel kadar klorofil alga dan jumlah sel alga.
