Abstract

This thesis titled role of Said Hamimul Hamim in spreading the Islamic religion in the Ogan Komering Ulu in 16” century (donations of material on the subjects of social grade II in SMA Negeri 1 Cempaka). As for the problems discussed in the thesis is to examine the titled role of Said Hamimul Hamim in the Ogan Komering Ulu which in terms of religiou and, social. The research methods that is used by the researcher is the historical method comprising the steps of heuristics, criticism of sources both internal and exsternal nature, data interpretation and historiography. The teachings of (he Islamic religion is a teaching that comes from the prophet Muhammad SAW form of monotheism, tajwid and other religious disciplines. The spreading of Islam can not be separated from the role of the Ulama who has an important role as a disseminator and bearers of the religion of Islam. Said Hamimul Hamim is one of the famous scholars in southern Sumatra, especially in Ogan Komering Ulu. He is also known as the miracle in him. This makes the grave is never devoid of visits. This thesis made as donations and reference for history subject of 11 grader in SMA Negeri 1 Cempaka particularly on the chapter of development of Islam in Indonesia.
