Abstract

The exploting of Senduduk and Krinyuh plants as a source of compost as an organic matter to increased nutrient content in lowland swamp for giving influenced on the growth and development of brown rice. This research aims to understand the report of influence compost briquette and crumbs on nitrogen content of soil and plant and growth of brown rice yield. This Research was conducted in the lowland swamp of Faculty of Agriculture, Sriwijaya University starting from September 2016 until February 2017. The methods was used in research a Group Complete Random Design with factors treatment of the form of compost namely D0K1 doses 0 tons ha-1 compost briquette, D1K1 doses 15 tons of ha-1 (270 g 4 plants-1) compost briquette, D0K2 doses 0 tons ha-1 compost crumb, D1K2 doses 15 tons of ha-1 (11.340 g plots-1) compost crumb. From the design obtained 16 plots treatment. Every plots of 3m x 3m on a growing legowo 2:1 with spacing 20 cm x 15 cm x 30 cm. Every plots treatment there are 168 plants and for example the plant as observation of 6 plants . The result showed the compost briquette and crumb influential not real on for height of rice, maximum and productive tillers number of rice. But in quantitative data the dose of 15 tons ha-1 compost briquettes was higher than doses with compost crumb. The provision of a dose of 15 tons ha-1 compost briquette get something out of it with an average highest levels of land N-total 1,75%, level of nitrogen plants worth 1,05%, and absorption nitrogen 7,78 g clump-1. Although the giving of compost briquette and crumb didn’t affect toward of soil nitrogen content but able increased soil nitrogen content of 1,35% and 0,95% .
