Abstract

Rice is the main food commodities in Indonesia, because the majority of the Indonesian population is the staple food rice. One of the common diseases that attack plants are attack leaf spot caused by pathogenic C. oryzae. The objectives of this research was to determine the reaction of the five varieties of rice resistance to diseases caused by C. oryzae. This research was conducted at Experimental Research Station and Phytopathology Laboratory of the Departement of Plant Pests and Disease, Faculty of Agriculture, Sriwijaya University from August to December 2016. Randomized block design was applied in this experiment by 5 treatments and 10 replications. Results of research on the percentage of leaf spot disease attacks the average percentage is highest in treatment P3 (Inpari 30) by 22,36 % and the percentage was lowest for the attack P5 (varieties IR 10) by 2,85 %. The results showed that the average intensity of attack intensity is highest in the P3 (Inpari 30) by 34,71 % with the type of resilience rather vulnerable and mean intensity of attacks was lowest for the P5 (varieties IR 10) by 14,42 % with the type of resistance that is resistant against leaf spot disease by C. oryzae.
