Abstract

The objective of this research was to know response of three varieties of cucumber (Cucumis sativus L.) on the application of Oil Palm Empty Fruit Bunch compost. The research was conducted from February to May 2015 at the Faculty of Agriculture experiment station, University of Sriwijaya.This research used Split Plot Design. The main plot was varieties, the varieties used were Panda (V1), Harmony (V2), and Hercules (V3). While the subplot was oil palm empty fruit bunches compost with 4 experimental stage, those were: without oil palm empty fruit bunches compost (P0), 5 ton ha-1 oil palm empty fruit bunches compost (P1), 7,5 ton oil palm empty fruit bunches compost ha-1 (P2), and 10 ton ha-1 oil palm empty fruit bunches compost (P3), it was repeated 3 times. The results showed that empty oil palm bunches 10 ton ha-1 compost of Harmony (V2) variety had the highest weight.
