Abstract

The purpose of this study is to get the description of the data, to get the data pattern and to get the closeness value of the relationship between air temperature from observation results manually and AWS. The data used is the temperature data from observation results at 07.00 am, 01:00 pm, 06:00 pm, maximum temperature and minimum temperature from BMKG year 2007. Data description contains of statistical measures, then to see the pattern of temperatures that occur in temperature from observations manually and AWS, it depicted in the form of Time Series diagrams. The correlation value that obtained at 07.00 am, 01.00 pm and maximum temperatures ranged between 0.88-0.90 which means the closeness of the relationship between manual air temperature and AWS is strong and at 06.00 pm the correlation obtained 0.93 which means the correlation is very strong, it is contrast at the minimum air temperature. The correlation value is moderate namely 0.48. Furthermore, to see the direction of the results correlations are positive or negative then made Scatter Plot diagrams. From Scatter Plot diagram, the correlation are positive and it was evidenced by the correlation test, then do test two different populations to determine whether there is a significant difference between the observation temperature manually and AWS. The results of two different populations test showed the temperature from observation result manually and AWS at 07.00 am, 01:00 pm, 06:00 pm and the maximum temperature there is no a significant difference so it can be interchanged while at the minimum temperature occur very significant difference so that the temperature from observation result manually and AWS at the minimum temperatures are not interchangeable.
