Abstract

Blasting activity in Pit 2 West Bangko PT. Bukit Asam, Tbk with 500-1000 m distance, has a high ground vibration. The used of air deck will be an alternative to anticipate high ground vibration. This research aimed to analyse ground vibration effect of overburden blasting using air deck and non air deck in Pit 2 West Bangko PT. Bukit Asam, Tbk. Tanjung Enim South Sumatera. The result showed in PT. Bukit Asam, Tbk the ground vibration in blastnumber 1, 6, 8, and 10 were above the Unsafety limit. PPV shown as 212,66 (SD)-0,9927 with R2 0,6590 showed the contribution of SD variable and PPV were 65%, and there were contribution of others factor. Blasting geometric showed PC in blasting air deck decrased 47,4% from 1,9-2,1 to 0,9-1,1 m cause the effect of air deck. Based on the result, we conclude that the using of air deck can reduce the ground vibration more effective than using less blasting materials.
