Abstract

Penelitian ini adalah penelitian deskriptif yang bertujuan memberikan gambaran mengenai kemampuan penalaran matematika siswa SMA Kota Palembang. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh nilai penalaran matematika siswa SMA IPA Kelas XII Kota Palembang. Sampel dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 317 siswa yang tersebar di sekolah yang berakreditasi A, B, dan C. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah sepuluh soal Ujian Nasional Matematika tahun 2012 paket A-12. Analisis data yang digunakan adalah Anava satu arah dan uji chisquare. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data, disimpulkan bahwa kemampuan penalaran matematika siswa SMA Kota Palembang tergolong rendah dengan nilai rata-rata kemampuan penalaran sebesar 40,58.
