Abstract
Amidation reaction of ursolic acid[oleanolic acid] was isolated from tembesu fruits have been conducted by using SOCl2 and butylamine in free solvent condition to obtain N-butyl-urs-2,12-dien-28-amide[N-butyl-olean-2,12-dien-28-amide] with yield 42 %. Cytotoxic activity of amidation product, N-butyl-urs-2,12-dien-28-amide[N-butyl-olean-2,12-dien-28-amide] toward murine cell leukemia P-388 decreasing about half fold compared to starting material ursolic acid[oleanolic acid]. The IC50 value of N-butyl-urs-2,12-dien-28-amide[N-butyl-olean-2,12-dien-28-amide] was 81, 4335 μg/mL whereas the IC50 value of ursolic acid[oleanolic acid] is 53,4 μg/mL.
