Abstract
This research aimed to find out the effect of Mind Mapping strategy towards students achievement on the topic environmental change and preservation of the tenth graders at SMA N 1 Indralaya. This study was Pre-Experimental research method that applied One-Group Pretest-Posttest design. The sample was taken by using Cluster Random Sampling. The data were collected from the students of X IPA 1, that consist of 33 students. The data analysis showed that there was an increase of students‟ learning achievement through tests with 39,92 for pretest and 83,33 for posttest on average, while the highest category of N-gain was 0,72. The result of hypothesis using t-test at significance level of 5% showed that tcalculated > ttable i.e. 27,82 > 2,036 then H0 is rejected. Therefore, statistical analysis showed that the implementation of Mind Mapping strategy had a significant effect towards students achievement on the topic environmental change and preservation of the tenth graders of SMA N 1 Indralaya.
