Abstract

Mesin WEDM merupakan mesin yang banyak digunakan untuk proses pemesinan dan memiliki presisi yang akurat. Recast thickness suatu benda kerja hasil proses permesinan dipengaruhi oleh parameter-parameter pemotongan. Pada penelitian ini digunakan mesin WEDM Sodick dengan benda kerja Ti-6al-4V. Variasi Wire Feed (m/min) 6 m/ min, 8 m/min dan 10 m/min. Variasi Ton (μm) 10 μm, 20 μm, dan 30 μm. Toff (a) 12μm, 22μm, dan 32μm. Dari Hasil penelitian nilai recast thickness terendah pada variasi Wire Feed dengan parameter Ton (μs) 20, Toff (μs) 22, Wire Feed 4.636 (m/min) yaitu 0,0264 μm, Sedangkan nilai recast thickness variasi Wire Feed terbesar pada parameter Ton (μs) 20, Toff (μs) 22, Wire Feed 11.434 (m/min). Nilai recast thickness terendah pada variasi Ton kondisi pemotongan dengan parameter Ton (μs) 3,182, Toff (μs) 22, Wire Feed (m/min) 8 dengan nilai recast thickness yaitu 0,0213 μm, sedangkan nilai recast thickness yang terbesar pada variasi Ton dengan parameter Ton (μs) 36.818, Toff (μs) 12, Wire Feed (m/min) 10 yaitu dengan nilai 0,0362 μm. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan yang sangat mempengaruhi recast thickness adalah paramater Ton sehingga untuk mendapatkan hasil recast thickness yang tipis disarankan untuk menggunakan Ton yang kecil.
