Abstract

The study aims to determine the effect of ownership structure that includes the institusional ownership, foreign ownership, government ownership, managerial ownership, family ownership on earning management in service company. This study use the sampe of 21 service company that listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchanged, by using purposive sampling which was published their annual financial reports in period of 2013-2017. Analytical tool to test the hypothesis in this study using IBM SPSS software 23. The method of analysis of this study using logistic regression. The result of this study indicate that the institusional ownership, foreign ownership, government ownership, managerial ownership, family ownership have simultaneously significant effect on earning management. Partially, institusional ownership has significant effect on earning management, while foreign ownership, government ownership, managerial ownership, family ownership has no significant effect on earning management.
