Abstract
Vegetables contains a complete and healthy nutrition. Green vegetables are sources and rich of carotene (provitamin A). The oldest green leaf, have the most content of carotenes. Research conducted at Sangkuriang, Kenten Laut and Sukamaju Sub-District Talang Kelapa, Banyuasin Regency on vegetable farms, ie eggplant, green beans and cucumbers. The study began in October 2014 until May 2014. The purpose of this research is to identify and determine the diversity of insects on the eggplant (Solanum melongena L.), cucumber (Cucumis sativus L.) and green bean (Vigna unguiculata L.). The research used a survey method, by looking for the diversity index, evenness index and dominance index. Quantity of insects were analyzed using Past program. In research place found that in Sangkuriang the level of insect diversity were higher than Kenten area and Sukamaju ie 2.638. Diversity indices results found that dominance index higher in Sukamaju 0.257. From the number of insects were obtained, Iridomyrmex sp showed the highest evenness index. Keywords: Solanum melongena L., Cucumis sativus L., Vigna unguiculata L., diversity index, dominance index and evenness index.
