Abstract

The aim of this research was to study the effect of palm oil total mixed (TMR) on apparent digestibility of Bali Cattle. The research was held from July to October 2016 in Experimental Farm, of Animal Science Departement, Agriculture Faculty, Sriwijaya University. Two trerments (P0 = maize stover and P1 = palm oil TMR) with 4 replications were observed on Independent dry matter and crude protein apparent digestibility. The result showed that maize stover and palm oil TMR has no significant result on both parameters. Although maize stover has higher value both parameters (75% ± 7,03 : 60% ± 11,33 ; 75% ± 0,45 : 60% ± 0,68) but it seems related to nutrient composition and adaptation period of maize stover. Longer period of palm oil TMR application would have obtain similar result as maize stover treatment.
