Abstract

The purpose of this study are (1) analyze the productivity of the smallholder rubber tappers at Lubuk Raman Village Muara Enim Regency. (2) analyze the contribution of the real income of rubber farming and off-farm to total at Lubuk Raman Village. (3) analyze the comparison between welfare level of rubber tappers at Lubuk Raman Village. The research was conducted from January 2017 until February 2017 in the Lubuk Raman village Rambang Dangku district Muara Enim Regency. The method used in this study was a survey method by questioning (questionnaire) to rubber tapper, to record the income and tenure of rubber tappers. The data was processing by mathematical methods and present value or time value of money method, tabulated followed by a qualitative descriptive analysis by way of direct interviews to rubber tappers and official documents sourced from various agencies that related the research. The result shows: (1) the physical productivity is 2.876,59 Kg / Ha, the capital productivity is IDR7.895,47 Ha / yr and labor productivity is 150,22 Kg / people / weekdays. (2) The contributes of rubber farming real income to total household income is 69,41%, is higher than contribution of real off-farm income 44,06%. So that the contribution of real rubber farming and real off-farm income to total household income. (3) The standard of living need for household is IDR3.541.062 / hosehold / month with revenue IDR3.774.131,00 / household / month, the family life of a prosperous household.
