Abstract
The plant part has biomass and PUF (Proper Use Factor) which is different from the structure of the constituent tissue and the digestibility values are also different. The aims of this research was to study The Effect of Plant Part Proportion on Digestibility Quality of Napier Grass (Pennisetum Purpureum) Silage In Vitro. This research was held from February to march 2017 at experimental farm and animal feed and nutrition laboratory of Animal Science Department, Agriculture Faculty, Sriwijaya University. Completely randomized experimental design with 4 various content of silage treatments (P0, 50 % leaf part and 50% stem part of napier grass; P1, 100% leaf part of napier grass+EM4; P2, 100% stem part of napier grass+EM4; P3, 50 % leaf part and 50% stem part of napier grass+EM4) were applied on this research, each treatments has 5 replications. Observed parameters were Dry matter digestibility (%), N-ammonia and Total VFA concentration (mM). The result showed that all parameters (Dry matter digestibility, N-ammonia and Total VFA) has no significant result (P>0,05) however, the parameters values tend to express relationship with digestibility.
