Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pemahaman konsep kimia siswa kelas XI IPA 3 SMA Negeri 1 Tanjung Raja dengan menggunakan Model Pembelajaran Peningkatan Kemampuan Berpikir (MPPKB). Penelitian tindakan kelas ini dilaksanakan dalam tiga siklus, setiap siklus terdiri dari dua pertemuan. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan tes yang dilakukan di akhir siklus. Terjadi peningkatan pemahaman konsep kimia siswa yang tercermin dari rata-rata hasil belajar dan ketuntasan siswa. Hasil belajar dan ketuntasan siswa sebelum tindakan adalah 59.2 dan 22.22% , siklus I 61.98 dan 25%, siklus II 73.26 dan 58.33%, siklus III 80.91 dan 86.11%.
