Abstract
The objectives of this research were to know the effect of organic fertilizer application with various doses to growth and production of corn, and to identify the potential fixation carbon in the soil. This research was conducted at the Center of Agro Techo Park (ATP), Bakung Village, North Indralaya District, Ogan Ilir Regency, South Sumatera, from April 2014 to July 2014. The method being used was completely randomized block designed with 4 treatments and 4 replications. The treatments were Dose of organic fertilizer included 5 ton ha-1, 10 ton ha-1, 15 ton ha-1 and 20 ton ha-1. The result showed that the treatments gave no significant effect to all parameters being observed. The treatment of organic fertilizer with 20 ton ha-1 tended to give the highest result on leaf chlorophyll, cob weight, number of seed per row, seed weight per plant, weight of 100 seeds and plant dry weight . Based on analysis, the highest increase of C-organic was found on 15 ton ha-1 fertilizer application which was 3,17% and the lowest was found on 5 ton ha-1 which was 2,97%.
