Abstract
Diet is one of the components that support the growth and survival in fish culture. Coffee pulp flour fermented is one of the alternative diet ingredients which could be used in catfish diet ingredients. The purpose of this research is to use coffee pulp as ingredients for catfish diet to growth response, protein retention, survival rate, and feed efficiency of catfish, fish intestines histology and response of catfish immune systems.This research was conducted on November 2016-March 2017 at Laboratorium Kolam Percobaan Aquaculture Study Program, Agriculture Faculty, Sriwijaya University. This research methodes use Completely Randomized Design with five treatments and three replications. The treatments are 0%, 6%, 12%, 18% dan 24% fermented coffee pulp flour. The results showed that the best diet is on P2 with an average amount of eated diet each individual catfish as much as 16.71 g, feed efficiency is 77.48%, protein retention is 73.96%, absouluted weight growth is 12.22 g, absoulute length growth is 4.36 cm. The water quality for optimun research for the maintenance of catfish. The temperature during the study ranged from 27.6-30.70C, pH 6.0-7.5, dissolved oxygen 3.07-5.65 mg.L-1 and ammonia0.01-0.19 mg.L-1.
