Abstract

PT. Pertamina EP Asset-2 field Prabumulih is a company engaged in oil and gas exploration and production. The casing installation activities in oil and gas holes are jobs that require high planning and costs. To drill a well, one of the supporting factors for its success is the proper planning of the casing series. This casing serves as a borehole holder so it doesn't collapse easily. The installed case of DWA-18.1 is located in the structure of DWA-63 with depth of + 2344 mMD. After calculating the resistance capability analysis of the casing surfaces, intermediates, and production on the casing surface, and intermediates have met the safety requirements, but in the production of 7-inch size K-55 (26 lbm / ft) casing does not meet the requirements and must be replaced. One of the requirements parameters is not fulfilled, namely about biaxial stress. The value of the biaxial stress safety factor (SFBS) is less than the value of the collapse safety factor (SFc). Therefore an alternative casing replacement analysis for the 7-inch K-55 (26 lbm / ft) production casing that has not met the requirements is done using the N-80 grade (26.00 lbm / ft).
