Abstract

PID Control System is a control system that applies the PID algorithm. The PID algorithm works to calculate the error value so that the output value can reach the desired value by the system. To optimize the performance of the water pump, which sucks water from the water source, it is channeled to the tank1 when the suction channel in the water source is blocked so that it prevents the water from entering and influences the change in water flow, and the time needed to fill the tank is getting longer. With the PID algorithm, if the water discharge does not match the setpoint, the PID will increase the PWM value given to the water pump so that the waterpump performance can be adjusted through the PWM value according to the control system command. The results of this study found that the optimum PID parameter is KP = 0.7, KD = 1, KI = 0.001. After applying the PID Algorithm to the control system if there is a blockage in the control system suction pipe, the system will increase the performance of the water pump so that the value of the flow meter can reach the setpoint value desired by the system.
