Abstract

Maternal death is death that occurs during pregnancy, or 42 days from termination of the pregnancy, regardless of the duration and place of the pregnancy, which is caused or exacerbated by the pregnancy or the management of the pregnancy, but is not accidental. Most maternal deaths occur as a result of complications at the time, and postpartum. Lack of knowledge of pregnant women in knowing and understanding the consequences of postpartum hemorrhage and how to prevent it will have an impact on good health behavior and hope that they will be protected from various risks due to postpartum hemorrhage. Therefore the purpose of this study is to find out knowledge, attitudes and behaviors towards postpartum hemorrhage in RSUD Prabumulih. Total of 62 respondents who conform the inclusion criteria were obtained by consecutive sampling method. Data collected by interview using a questionnaire and analyzed by Chi-square test. The analysis showed that there is a relationship between knowledge and the incidence of postpartum hemorrhage (p = 0.03), there is an attitude relationship with the incidence of postpartum hemorrhage (p = 0,000), and there is a behavioral relationship with the incidence of postpartum hemorrhage (p = 0.028).
