Abstract

The study aims to determine role of self-adjustment on subjective well- being of wife’s live in law home. This study hypothesis that there is a role of self- adjustment on subjective well-being of wife’s live in law home. The population of this study is wife’s live in law home aged 19-40 years who settled in the city of Palembang who have unknown amount. The research sample was 100 person and for the try out was 50 person. This study used accidental sampling technique. Measuring instruments use adjustment scale and subjective well-being by referring to the adjustment characteristics of Haber and Runyon (1984) and components subjective well-being of subjective well-being from Diener, et.al (1999). The research used simple regression analysis. The result of regression analysis to saw the role of self-adjustment on subjective well-being showed that R=0,566 R square=0,320 F=46,129 P=0,000 (p<0,05). The results showed that there is significant role of self-adjustment on subjective well-being. So, the proposed hypothesis is accepted.
