Abstract

Fixed Wing is one type of UAVs which has the main characteristic of the use of more dominant in rigid wings. With the rapid development of technology nowadays, developments in the field of UAVs type fixed wings also much has been done. One of them is the development in terms of how long the flying time can be pursued by one fixed wings. With the hybrid method between the battery and solar cell can make fixed wings have a longer flying time. The hybrid system serves to minimize the lack of a system by combining it to another system. Due to the hybrid battery and solar cell, there needs to be a controlling device that can control the process of using the battery and solar cell at the same time. The Arduino Nano is used as the controller center of this system, by controlling the relay, the Arduino controls the process of using the battery to a brushless motor and the charging process of the solar cell. ACS 712 and voltage sensor modules become input to control hybrid process. The results of current and voltage readings, batteries and solar cells are stored on the micro SD Card. The result of data rooting is obtained the process of charging the battery from the solar cell lasts 105 seconds.
