Abstract
The needs for fossil energy, the renewable energy in future together with the population growth, industrial and economic growth tend to increase. Using it comes from coal, natural gas and oil will increase the green house gas, mainly carbon dioxide to atmosphere, huge amount of emission contributor for global warming. The scarcity of non renewable must be overcome through using variety of renewable energy resources, like sea-mango crop as bio fuel. The fruit of sea-mango never be used then become waste. One hectare sea-mango producing 1.8 ton biodiesel or equal to 10 million rupiahs per year. Besides overcome the energy scarcity and as income resource, developing it will contribute the benefits for environment mainly for absorbing carbon dioxide emission and avoiding the release of emission from the peat land. Planting degraded peat land with timber plantation will avoid emission as much as 460 tons carbon dioxide per hectare. Sea-mango crop could be developed through the social forestry program in the food crop zone. This activity will imply for emission reduction and rice production increasing incentive. The low incentive from paddy farming as reason the farmers change it to be estate crop, as the threat for Indonesian Food Security, mainly for rice.
