Abstract
Distribution of rice fields in watershed followed the certain pattern. The aim of research to know rice field distribution based on soil and rainfall variation in Ciliwung-Cisadane Watershed by Geographical Information System (GIS) technology. Here, some of raw maps and existing data were digitized to reach some of thematic maps, namely rice field maps, soil map, and rainfall map. So, it was known rice field distribution on each soil and rainfall categories. Result showed that ricefield area of Ciliwung-Cisadane Watershed about 37,810 ha or 17.42 % from the total area. Spatially, the distribution of rice field were varied to soil and rainfall. According to soil, the rice field were distributed on 13 soil types. The area and proportion of rice fields from downstream to upstream varied on each soil types. Increasing rainfall followed by tend decreasing ricefield proportion. This was not caused by the rainfall condition, but due to the adding elevation which was followed by more steep slope and more cold the air temperature.
