Abstract
The objective of this research is to know the germination of rubber seeds were storage in different temperature and different period. This research was conducted at Seed Technology Laboratory, Faculty of Agriculture, University of Sriwijaya, during September to December 2009. Completely randomized design in factorial design was used in this experiment that consists of three treatments of temperature (factor 1) and four periods of seed storaging (factor 2). The first factor were temperature of 20oC ? 22oC (S1), temperature of 23oC ? 26oC (S2), and temperature of 27oC ? 30oC (S3). The second factor of storaging were 0 day (P1), 6 days (P2), 12 days (P3), and 18 days (P4). The parameters observed were seed moisture content (%), seed germination (%), germination uniformity (%), and germination rate (% per day). The result of this research showed that the longer the priode of storage the lower seed germination, and the higher the temperature of storaging the lower seed germination.
