Abstract

Inherent is a data communication network covered between universities in Indonesia with the slogan of bridging gaps connecting islands of knowledge. Inherent network has a separate infrastructure to the Internet network owned universities are connected to them, it is necessary for the design of the network so that each user can access them without any changes on the user side, and this is done by designing a topology using a dynamic routing protocol OSPF, so trafffic to the inherent or the Internet can be routed automatically. Inherent Workshop held in UNSRI followed by almost all colleges in the Sumatra region by leveraging Open Source Vyatta sotware to build the routing system and continued with the discussion and design of the topology of several universities.
