Abstract

This research is entitled "Social Network of Pecel Lele Traders in Palembang City (Study in Ilir Barat I District)”. The purpose of this study is to describe the structure of social network of pecel lele traders in Palembang City (Study in Ilir Barat I District). The design of this study used quantitative descriptive with the method of Social Network Analysis (SNA). Respondents in this study were determined using Snowball Sampling method which was conducted by interviewing pecel lele traders in the city of Palembang using questionnaire as the instrument. The data obtained in this study were analyzed using Ucinet 6.0 software with output in the form of sociograms and statistical data. The result of this study indicates that the actors who play an important role are Bagus, Kushodin, Ari MZ, Ian, Atik, Maman and Sri. There are 9 cliques with 34 components in the network, the largest component has a size of 8. Most ingredients such as chicken, duck, catfish, tilapia, carp, shrimp, clam, crab, tofu, tempeh and vegetables were obtained from Pasar Palimo while squid was obtained mostly from Pasar 26.
