Abstract

Latar Belakang: Hipertensi merupakan penyakit yang diderita banyak kalangan, mulai dari usia muda hingga usia tua dengan berbagai faktor. Lingkar pinggang dan indeks massa tubuh (IMT) merupakan indikator status gizi yang memiliki pengaruh terhadap terjadinya hipertensi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk untuk mengetahui hubungan lingkar pinggang dan indeks massa tubuh dengan hipertensi di Poliklinik Umum Puskesmas Talang Betutu. Metode: Penelitian observasional analitik dengan pendekatan cross sectional yang dilaksanakan pada bulan Juli-Desember 2019. Sampel penelitian ini adalah pasien yang memenuhi kriteria inklusi dan eksklusi yang berobat di klinik Poliklinik Umum Puskesmas Talang Betutu. Data diperoleh melalui tanya jawab singkat dan pemeriksaan antropometri serta tekanan darah yang kemudian dianalisis dengan uji chi-square menggunakan aplikasi SPSS. Hasil: Pada 104 responden ditemukan 71 responden menderita hipertensi. Hasil analisis menunjukkan masing-masing untuk lingkar pinggang dan IMT obesitas berhubungan signifikan dengan kejadian hipertensi (p=0,003; PR=1,55; IK95%=1,14-2,10 dan p=0,002; PR=1,57; IK95%=1,21-2,03). Dan tidak terdapat hubungan IMT kegemukan dengan hipertensi (p=0,897; PR=0,90; IK95%=0,55-1,47). Kesimpulan: Pada penelitian ini lingkar pinggang dan indeks massa tubuh obesitas menjadi faktor risiko terjadinya hipertensi. Kata kunci: Lingkar pinggang, IMT, hipertensi. Background: Hypertension is a disease that affects many people, from young to old age with several factor. Waist circumference and body mass index (BMI) are indicators of nutritional status that have an influence on the occurrence of hypertension. This study aims to determine the relationship of waist circumference and body mass index with hypertension in the General Clinic at Talang Betutu Health Center. Method: An analytic observational study with a cross sectional approach was conducted in July-December 2019. The sample of this study was patients who met the inclusion and exclusion criteria who visit at the General Polyclinic clinic of Talang Betutu Public Health Center. Data obtained through an simple interview and anthropometric examination and blood pressure which is then analyzed by chi-square test using the SPSS application. Result: In 104 respondents found 71 respondents suffering from hypertension. The analysis showed waist circumference and obesity BMI significantly related with the incidence of hypertension (p=0,003; PR=1,55; CI95%=1,14-2,10 dan p=0,002; PR=1,57; CI95%=1,21-2,03). And there is no relationship between overweight BMI and hypertension (p=0,897; PR=0,90; CI95%=0,55-1,47). Conclusion: In this study waist circumference and obesity body mass index are risk factors for hypertension. Keywords: Waist circumference, BMI, hypertension.
