Abstract

Karsinoma laring adalah tumor ganas yang berada epitel laring. Tanda dan gejala awal dari karsinoma laring biasanya suara serak, stridor, nyeri tenggorokan, batuk persisten, atau terdapat suatu massa di leher. Bentuk faktor risiko terbanyak adalah merokok dan mengonsumsi alkohol. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui karakteristik penderita karsinoma laring yang berdasarkan data sekunder melalui rekam medis pasien di Departemen THT-KL Rumah Sakit Umum Pusat Dr. Mohammad Hoesin Palembang dari Januari 2015–Agustus 2019. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif retrospektif. Perbandingan antara laki-laki dan perempuan adalah 10:1 dengan rentang usia 50-60 tahun. Faktor risiko terbanyak yaitu merokok (97,5%) dan pasien lebih sering datang dengan keluhan utama suara serak (80%) hal ini karena tumor paling sering berada di glotis (67,%). Kemudian, kebanyakan pasien didiagnosis dengan stadium IV (62,5%) sehingga kemoterapi merupakan pengobatan terbanyak yang didapatkan oleh pasien.
