Abstract

This research resulted in the development of Android-based teaching materials which will be tested for their validity and practicality in class IX learning of students constructing curved ball side space. The subjects of this study were students of class VIII and class IX of SMP Negeri 1 Indralaya. This research uses ADDIE development model in which the stages consist of analysis, design and development stages. For collecting data, this study uses three types, namely walkthrough, observation and questionnaire. In this study, based on data collected from the three types stated that the development of android-based teaching materials building material on the side space of the violin arch was declared valid and practical. At the validation stage of the experts, some of the main aspects seen were construct, content and language. This teaching material is said to be valid because the results of the validation of the experts as well as the one-to-one trial stated that this teaching material was appropriate for use and by making improvements to various comments and suggestions for the development of teaching materials to be valid. In addition, this teaching material is said to be practical based on the results of the observation and questionnaire data collection which states that this teaching material is easily used by students. Judging from the results of data analysis on observations and questionnaires stated that as much as 84% and 77% of teaching materials are classified as practical.
