Abstract
The study aims to calculate the water needs of dry land crops as well as irrigation scheduling. As crop indicator corn was used for the computer simulation. The study is divided into two phases. Daily climatic data was taken from the Kenten Station Palembang. Water balance under root zone analysis using the computer models (BUDGET models). Soil type is ultisol with the texture sandy clay loam layer low the clay. Some scenarios were tested at the wet season, transition and dry. The results of Computer analysis model shows that corn crops in the rainy season do not require irrigation. For the transition (March to May) is required irrigation in flowering phase, with a total water needs of 76. 5 in the dry season (May-July) is required for 198 mm of irrigation water. Irrigation scheduling applications as much as 9 times out of every 7-day intervals beginning 10 days of growth and :=and the end.
