Abstract

The Palembang City Archives and Library Office is a regional work unit that carries out the tasks of the Government of the City of Palembang, especially in the field of archives and libraries, which involves the development, arrangement, management of archives and libraries as well as developing the reading interest of the community in order to improve the life of the nation. Archival data management at the Palembang City Archives and Library Office is still not integrated because it still uses a conventional archive management system that is still done by archiving documents entered in a binder and stored in a box arranged on a document rack then in the data information document archives in write in the agenda book which would be difficult if you do a search for documents that have been archived. One alternative solution to the problem is to use an information storage and archive search system using the Indexing Field method.
