Abstract

Coal mining activities at PT. Bukit Asam, Tbk., In the Muara Tiga Besar Utara pit was carried out by two methods, namely by using the backhoe and truck method and using the BWE system. From the coal stock file, it will be moved to TLS and the Banjar Sari PLTU using a belt conveyor circuit, in the conveyor belt series there is a crusher to reduce the size of coal to a smaller size. Due to the frequent obstacles to the crusher that goes to the Banjar Sari PLTU caused by pack stones caught in the crusher, causing delays in shipping and complaints from the Banjar Sari PLTU. From the data on the barriers to the operation of coal production to CHF2 MTB for the March 2018 period, it was recorded that the duration of the plant was 6.98 hours. Silicified coal not only inhibit crusher production but can also cause the coal crushing gear on the crusher to quickly thirst and break. The miniature design of coal separator and silicified coal aims to overcome the problem of silicified coal and also as a reduction in coal size. The design of the design uses the SolidWork 2016 application, this tool consists of several parts, namely: Mouth / Feed, Conveyor Chains, Crushing Gear, Hydraulic, Brush, Chain Drive Gear, Hydraulic Holdings, Coal Openings, Stone Openings, Conveyor Sizing Plate, Barrier Cross and Casing. The compressive strength of the hydraulic coal crushing gear is 7,077.14 kPa. In the separation of coal and silicified coal, silicified coal samples have PLSI hardness of 30 9,302 kPa with a thickness of 7 cm and coal samples used come from seam B with PLSI ± 3323,97 kPa with a thickness of 5 cm and 6 cm while the length of both is ± 16 cm. Comparison of 8 kg coal and silicified coal 2 kg. The average presentation of the results of coal and silicified coal separation is: coal which has a thickness of 5 cm by 78.3% more than coal which has a thickness of 6 cm by 76.6%, silicified coal by 20%.
