Abstract

As one of the prerequisites that must be fulfilled in the planning and operation of the power system, the stability of electric power system must be considered specifically and comprehensively. This is done to overcome of instability that can occur due to disturbance with the system. Planning load shedding scheme is one method that can be done to overcome this problem. In this study, the planning of load shedding scheme was simulated using the DigSILENT PowerFactory 15.1.7 software. Where the load shedding is done, based on The Bus Sensitivity Value when the system is experiencing disturbance. The simulation is done twice. The first simulation, load shedding caused by voltage drops below the tolerance standard. Meanwhile, in the second simulation, load shedding caused by overload of the transmission line and distribution line. By using The Bus Sensitivity Value Method, a voltage stability crisis area will be obtained which will be used as a load shedding location reference. From this method, the results for the first simulation (the release of Line A 150 kV) resulted in Bus 6 having lowest voltage (0,8936 p.u). After the load shedding was done as much as 15 MVA on the Bus 9, the Bus 6 voltage increases (0,9007 p.u). In the second simulation (the release of Line B 150 kV), resulting in an increase in loading on Line B (1) 150 kV to 102,86% (0,442 kA), from the initial loading which reached 51,1901% (0,22 kA). After releasing as much as 24 MVA on the load contained on Bus 12, the loading decreased to 78,5001% (0,338 kA). Keywords: load shedding, voltage drop, KHA, bus sensitivity.
