Abstract

The development of rapid prototyping is also inseparable from the development of computers, especially Computer Aided Design (CAD / CAM) technology, facilitating the delivery of layers of objects formed by rapid printyng techniques. Before printing, it begins with making a 3D CAD model design using SoftWare applications such as Autocat, Sketchup, SolidWoarks and others. The appropriate model is then oriented to the manufacturing space (part orientation). The concept of rapid prototyping is to divide objects with a thickness that matches the cross section of the object. Furthermore, the 3D printer machine makes three-dimensional products by adding materials or materials in layers according to the cross section of the object. The quality of the surface of the object depends on the thickness of the layer from the 3D Printing machine. The smaller the thickness of the layer, the better the surface quality.
