Abstract

Tujuan dilakukannya penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan bagaimana karakter siswa jika diberikan soal HOTS dengan bantuan media ICT. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif. Terdapat 4 fokus karakter dalam penelitian ini yaitu kerja keras, kreatif, teliti, dan rasa ingin tahu. Subjek pada penelitian ini adalah empat orang siswa SMA Srijaya Negara kelas XI IPS. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan di dalam penelitian ini adalah tes, wawancara, observasi, dokumentasi, dan triangulasi untuk mengecek kebenaran data yang diperoleh. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah nilai karakter yang dominan muncul selama proses pembelajaran dengan menggunakan soal HOTS yang berbantuan media ICT adalah nilai kerja keras dan rasa ingin tahu. Sedangkan nilai yang tidak dominan muncul adalah nilai teliti, dan kreatif.
