Abstract

Controlling the water on tertiary level are important things in agriculture at tidal lowland. The aims of this research are to analysis the micro level of water system, influence of ground water level and rice production on second planting season. This research was using survey and observation method on tertiary canal and block of paddy field by covering an area of 16 hectares. Monitoring the water on tertiary canal is using phielschale and to monitor the ground water level on the block of paddy fields are using the wells pipe, and monitoring was done within 110 days. The result of this research are fluctuation water in the tertiary canal are affect to the ground water level on the farmer field. The value of surplus excess water (SEW-20) showing surplus water that is develop on the second rice planting season and ground water level always over in -20 cm, and the lowest level of ground water is -18 cm. Rice production on second planting season is still on normal classified because average of rice production on second planting season is 5,4 ton/hectare.
