Abstract
Aims to look at several factors that have strong ties to the dynamics and performance of farmer groups. Two main factors allegedly very influential on the dynamics and performance of the role of extension farmers groups (PPL) and the role of the farmer. So there are four latent variables under study are; PPL personal characteristics, personal characteristics of farmers, farmer's group dynamics and performance of farmer groups. Four variables in the measurement has several indicators that characterize the personal characteristics of the PPL and the personal characteristic of farmers. Dynamics and indicators of performance indicators of farmer groups and farmer groups. Sampling done by the method Disproporsionate Stratified Random Sampling, conducted in the District of South Sumatra Musirawas by the number of 36 groups from 12 villages and the number of respondents as many as 576 farmers. Futhermore, the data were analyzed using Structural Equation Modelling. The results show that the PPL is very strong role for the dynamic performance of farmer groups and farmer groups. While the personal characteristics of farmers are having an effect on the dynamics of farmer's group and have no effect on the performance of farmer groups. Farmer group dynamics do not effect the performance of the real farmers. The whole indicator is assessed as valid in characterizing the forming construct a variable.
